Entertaiment is a magazine of news about entertainment. It contains articles about the music, films, television shows, and other forms of entertainment. Its editorial staff includes a mix of writers, journalists, and bloggers.
The word “entertainment” derives from the Medieval Latin intertenere, which means to hold inside; the suffix -entertain- is similar to the Indo-European root ten, meaning to stretch or extend. Merriam-Webster says that entertainment is a show put on for the enjoyment of others.
According to Oliver and Barstsch (2010), entertainment is an activity understood objectively that encompasses communication between text and audience from an external stimulus, offers pleasure, requires an audience and occurs in a passive form.
